Kaird

Could be Kaira which was about 7 miles from Mehmadabad. Kaira was on the main route from Cambay to N. India and the boundary of British possessions. It had a large military Cantonment, but it proved to be an unhealthy place and European troops were withdrawn. A large church was built and consecrated by Bishop Herber in 1822.
