RAND & SHOOLBRED - Bengal 1780 - 1840. John Shoolbred EIC surgeon 1786 - 1821. Born Scotland c. 1766: Died England 1831. Marriage to Lucy Rand 1801 Calcutta and daughter Helen Mary S born 1811 Calcutta. Other family members a mystery to me.

The Rand family has more members recorded in India during this period. I'm still at the early stages of trying to link them together. Better documented ones are the men in the army such as Charles Rand 1778 - 1808 who married Elizabeth Collins and had, that I know of, three children, tho I'm not sure they all survived to adulthood.
