O'BRIEN 1890 - 1934 Bengal.
Mary Alice Katherine O' BRIEN married first an unknown UNGER, then after
divorce, married Edwin Thomas FERGUSON at Lal Bazar Baptist Church, Calcutta in October 1907. Mary preferred
to be called Katherine or Catherine. Her father's name was George O' Brien. Katherine reverted to her first
married surname of Unger c. 1921. Katherine and Edwin's only known child was my father, John Ferguson,
born December 1914 in Calcutta. Edwin died in Calcutta in 1930 and Katherine also in Calcutta in 1934. I
would very much like to hear from anyone with a possible connection. Also researching FERGUSON, GOODALL,

O'BRIEN 1840-1920. UK 1901 census shows my
grandfather Alfred O'Brien was listed as head of household, 23 years old, born in India. IGI records do not
as yet have any listing for him. Also listed was Mahala Knibb,
aunt of head of household, 63 years, widow, maternity nurse, born Lincs, Boston. This is a complete surprise to me!
UPDATE 7 May 2004 - I managed to get my grandparents Marriage certificate which showed hissurname and his father's surname as Brian. Contact: Gerry O'Brien

ORR 1800's Madras. My G Grandfather ALEXANDER ORR was born Pont de Galle, Ceylon in 1848. [He surfaced again in London
in 1865 where he was a Dock Policeman]. My quest is to find out about his Father ANDREW ORR who was a Planter.
I can find nothing about him at all. I'm sure he must be connected to some of the ORR's in Madras at the

OWENS 1900-1930 Bengal. I
am trying to find any record of Harry Owens, my great grandfather. He was American, and as far as I know
worked as a maintenance engineer in a mine. He married Ruby Flora Clarke, an Englishwoman, and had two children,
Enid Mildred Owens in 1927 in Dhanbad and Lionel Stewart Owens in 1930 in Lucknow. There
is no record of him after Lionel's birth. Any help would be appreciated. Also researching WALTON, HARRISON,
