PARMER Bengal 1853 to 1947 and probably earlier. Marion Eliza PARMER was born in Calcutta in 1853. She was the daughter of Richard PARMER and Margaret STORE (or STONE). Marion Eliza married Thomas Derrick Sovereign SMITH in Calcutta in 1873 and had possibly 10 children, one of whom was my husband's grandmother. PATERSON 1830's to 1860's Madras. Looking for any information on Colin Paterson, Deputy Inspector General of Hospitals, Nagpore Force. His wife was Harriet Annette Ross. Known children, Mary Annie Cullen Paterson, Caroline Campbell Paterson and George Quintin Paterson. Colin died in 1863 and is buried at Kamptee. His wife returned to Scotland and died there in 1876. Seeking connections with members of the Pattenson family, in particular Thomas 1747-1811 and sons John 1774-1817 (who married Mary Anna Frances Antionetta HARRIS*) and Charles 1776-1831 (who married Elizabeth HARRIS*) The family all served in the HEIC. PEMBROKE 1830 -1945 Bengal. James (or Patrick) Pembroke was a Lieutenant in the Commissariat Dept of the Indian Army when he died in 1877. He married Anna Matthews in Amballa in 1845 and they had 2 children that survived - Catherine Louise Bridget Stack Pembroke (My Grandmother, born 1856) and Charles Herbert Stack Pembroke born 1870. PITTS 1800's Bombay. William Henry PITTS married Isabella TAIT at Ahmednagar on 7 Dec 1869. He was a Sgt. Overseer in the Public Works Department. In later years worked as Overseer and Superintendent for PWD in Karachi and Poona. Father's name was Samuel PITTS. Children: Mabel Jane, William Tait, Olive Mary Georgina, Edwin John Samson, Laura Katherine, and possibly others still unknown at this time. See TAIT entry also. Contact:
